Role: Web Developer

A Cambridge UK based company is seeking an intern to take on a role as a Web Developer in the games industry. The successful candidate will help to develop and maintain the company’s portfolio of online browser based multiplayer games.

This is a great opportunity for a coder who is seeking an internship where they can gain valuable commercial experience. They are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in the gaming industry and a strong background in dynamic website coding. The ideal candidate will be a talented PHP developer with a passion for and an understanding of rpg/strategy gaming.

Requirements:

Minimum commitment of 6 months.
Must be proficient in HTML, PHP & MySQL.
Knowledge of JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, AJAX would be beneficial.

Candidate Qualities:

Should be proactive and creative.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Can perform to deadlines and rise to new challenges.

Tasks of Internship:

Streamlining existing code within specific areas of the games.
Designing and implementing features for new and existing projects.
